The directors of Spirit Capital (Pty) Ltd are pleased to announce the acquisition by Perspex South Africa (Pty) Ltd, of a majority interest in Xline Aluminium Solutions (Pty) Ltd.

Nature of business

Xline stocks, trades and distributes aluminium profiles and related accessories and provides solutions to the design and development of aluminium systems.

Rationale for transaction

Perspex has identified specialist routes to market for its products that overlap with those of Xline. Xline and Perspex intend to identify and explore new customers and product opportunities for one another.

Terms of the transaction

Perspex has acquired a majority interest in Xline with effect from 1 October, 2009 with management of Xline holding the balance of the equity. The terms of the transaction remain confidential.
