Xtruded Polymer Solutions

The Directors of SIH are pleased to announce the acquisition of the business and assets of Xtruded Polymer Solutions. The business will be conducted through E-nox (Pty) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of SIH.

Nature of business

XPS manufactures custom made extruded rigid sheet in a range of Polymers: Styrenics, ABS, Poly propylene and Poly ethylene from its facility in Port Elizabeth.

Rationale for transaction

The product range that XPS manufactures is complementary to the products supplied and manufactured by Perspex. The opportunity to leverage off Perspex’s brand, distribution capabilities, customer base and skills, whilst targeting a wider customer base with a larger product range and utilising Perspex’s back office function is expected to benefit both parties.
